My Story
The Mission:
Ben does some incredible work supporting people accross the motor industry no matter what challenge's they are facing. I am retired and have been connected with the motor industry all my life. I started as an apprentice in a local garage I then progressed to other positions within the motor industry. I have had physical issues such as back problems but I have managed to work through those until I finally had an operation on my back this was as I was made redundant and I took on a new job with the AA. I did build a kit car 2 years before I retired this is now 14 years old and still going strong. I applied to the IMI in my final job with the AA as it was a requirement for the job I was starting. However, I had not thought of joining the IMI before but by not joining the IMI before I did find that I had missed the support I could have had if I had joined the IMI before in the other positons I held. I hope my firends and family will support me in my challenge as I am sure they will with the many times I have repaired their cars over the many years to hopefully raise more than the £50 I have listed, as the IMI are commited to raising this mony for Ben to help those who are having difficulties in the present pressures of our current life.So this is how Ben helps members who are in work dealing with mental helth, financial worries or phyiscal issues Ben can help. This is now more important than ever when facing the current challenges of Covid-19. Not one person is the same and Ben are here to help you through anything.
