Fundraising as part of team: Beast of Ben 2022

My Story

Thatcham Research supports the Automotive industry through its Research, Data, Products and Services. It influences safe and secure vehicle design and repair and is going the extra mileage to contribute to the charity that supports people within the Automotive industry - in personal and professional circumstances, helping them navigate through life's many challenges.

BEN has helped so many people over the years with mental health; reducing stress, anxiety and depression which has impacted the majority over the last few years, and physical health; improving fitness, nutrition and positively influencing overall health and well-being.

Jonathan Hewett, CEO, commented “Here at Thatcham Research, we are passionate about supporting BEN and we want to give back. We are entering 4 teams into the Beast of Ben 48hr challenge in North Wales, in the heart of Snowdonia's national park. It has been a particularly challenging couple of years in the charity sector. BEN supports the lifeblood of our industry – it’s people – and we want to continue our support for them by raising as much as possible in this fundraising event.”

Our teams are pledging to be:

FEARLESS in approach, INQUISITIVE of others efforts, RESOURCEFUL along the way, SUPPORTIVE of all and TRUSTED to complete the challenge - to raise £4,000 by zip-lining, abseiling, water crossing, navigating and hiking, as well as problem solving and the odd BONUS event.

We are signed up and ready to go either as a team member or supporting our colleagues in their endeavours. Please show your support for them too, as individuals and team members, by giving what you can to this fantastic charity event.

Our team, Charlie’s Angels, is headed up by Charles Copeman-Green and consists of his angels Samantha Cashen, Amy Sheppard and Lisa Jewell. They are looking for support from family, friends, the automotive industry and the vehicle manufacturing sector in particular.
